The First Review of The Syncretisms of Antinous

Rebecca Buchanan, editrix of the online journal Eternal Haunted Summer and editrix-in-chief of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, just posted a review of my book, The Syncretisms of Antinous on the latest issue of EHS. Read it here!

I take to heart her critique–I thought I caught everything that made the book sound like blog posts (e.g. removing “post” and making it “chapter”), but I apparently missed some temporal markers that give it that feeling (e.g. “a few days ago…”). I shall be much more careful the next time I turn something from blog posts into a book.

And, as to the matter of Antinous and relations to goddesses, that effort is already well underway, but I’m not sure if it will result in a book or not. Perhaps…what do you think?
