A final thought before entering into the Treískouroi/Trophimoi Festival week…

So, there’s a lot going on starting tomorrow for about a week here in Ekklesía Antínoou land…I don’t know what, exactly, I’m going to do for some of it yet, but we’ll see.

But in the meantime, here’s something entirely banal and shallow in relation to all of it.

I recently reviewed the Oscar-nominated film The Kids Are All Right on Patheos.com, as I mentioned in a recent post (and you can read that review here). One of the stars of that film is a young man named Josh Hutcherson, who looked familiar to me. It turns out, he’s a few years older than other films from which I recognized him in the past.

And, as I was watching one of those films a short while ago by chance (Journey to the Center of the Earth, in case you wondered), it struck me: he could play Polydeukion in the film! (If only “the film” were made three to five years ago…)

Here’s a photo of the best image of Polydeukion:

And now, here’s one of Josh Hutcherson several years back.

The resemblance is rather striking, though Josh has a slightly more square jaw than Polydeukion did. Nonetheless, interesting, perhaps…!?!
