As many of you know who read this blog, I’m a fan of certain television shows that fall into the “reality” category: specifically, a few of the singing and talent-based ones. They were doing eliminations for the live shows for America’s Got Talent, and one of my favorites got eliminated: Andrew De Leon, an amazingly attractive goth male soprano. Have a look…
There’s something of Dionysos in him, I think…
Unfortunately, he didn’t do as well as he could have in the second round of auditions, and even though several of the judges wanted to keep him anyway, they sent him home.
Well, I’m not happy about that decision on their part at all. But, I hope that Andrew continues to develop his wonderful singing gift, and that he gets used to performing in front of audiences, and develops a serious kick-ass career singing and performing. If you’re reading this, Andrew, and you’re ever in the Seattle area, I’d love to show you around and have a beverage! You’re still awesome in my book, and always will be!
I am VERY upset about Andrew getting kicked off the show.I think he is AMAZINGLY talented and there were many others that should have taken his place. It just makes me mad that someone that talented should have to go home, but I am happy that he got publicity from being on the show until he was kicked off.
Thank You~

Indeed–that’s the hope with many of the acts on these shows. With any luck, the bit of publicity that Andrew’s appearance on there has given him will be enough to propel him further forward in this, if he chooses to take that route.
