I had hoped to be writing this from Everett, a large suburb north of Seattle, as that is where a good friend and co-religionist who I was going to be visiting today lives; the person in question will be traveling out of the country soon, so we wanted to get a visit in before their departure, see some interesting films, and I was going to make some notes from the books in this individual’s very impressive library (which I used to haunt–literally!). Alas, that has not happened, because my day-to-day health wasn’t in tip-top shape today, and thus wasn’t up to a multi-hour series of buses that it would take to get there. I’ll be doing that trip tomorrow instead of today, and shifting everything for the weekend slightly as a result–as I’ll be seeing my dad and siblings down on Whidbey Island just after that.
While I’m feeling slightly better now, I don’t know that I’m up to doing much here more than saying “I’m still alive,” and then calling it a day. I’ll see if I can use what spoons I do have for working on a few other projects that are impending this month meanwhile.
So, with any luck, semi-normal blogging will resume in some form tomorrow. The list of “things to do/write about” looms ever large on my various pieces of paper around the computer in the meantime…
I twisted my ankle last week while doing drag (damn 6 inch platform stilettos!) so I totally understand the whole “eh, I don’t feel good, I’ll do that later” feeling. I’m just starting to get better–hope you feel better soon!
