A rather large synchronicity–quite literally, a significant thing that emerged in a significant time–occurred over yesterday and today, and I wanted to make note of a pop cultural one here.
Almost two months ago, I lamented the fact that Andrew De Leon did not go on into the next stage of competition in America’s Got Talent. I hoped that they might bring him back for the wild card round, though…
And they did–the performance of which was yesterday, on the festival of the Lion Hunt. And, as his name is Andrew De Leon, there’s a pretty obvious connection there…
Well, the results show was today, and he got through to the semi-finals! So, he turned failure into success, hunted the lion and slew it, and how has been crowned with a garland of red lotuses…at least for the moment. He’s a walking, talking, singing embodiment of the meaning of this festival, and because his chance at making everything right happened during the two days of the festival itself, it is all the more significant, I think.
(And it was extremely stiff competition last night…several good acts got through, but many that were quite brilliant didn’t get through, which saddens me.)

I’m very happy that he got through, though, and wish him every success in the next stage of the competition!
May Antinous bless and favor all of those who use their unique talents to make beautiful art that is a delight for everyone!
[...] in a follow-up to another post from last week, alas, Andrew De Leon did not get further in the America’s Got Talent semifinals this week. [...]
