Between this time yesterday and today, after having done the Lion Hunt ritual, I feel like I’m in a much better position to confront the world and take on what I have to in the next few weeks. I may not be entirely successful with all of it, but I at least feel more comfortable going in than I had previously…
I will be doing my ritual for the Red Lotus in a few moments…a certain thing emerged when I did it yesterday, and then when I extinguished the candles later, where I was chanting bits of “Ave Ave Antinoe” as I put out each candle, which I think I’ll carry on in the future with this ritual.
Antinous is now adorned with the lion pendant that I’ve had for several years, but have usually forgotten about previously…
And, it turns out I have written a poem about the “aftermath” in the afterlife of the lion hunt, which is available in Galina Krasskova’s edited anthology When the Lion Roars, in honor of Sekhmet.
And, I don’t know that I have anything else major to say on all of this at present. (Now, that’s very odd for me!)
I may, however, have a slight bit more to report on later, depending on a few things…
But, in the meantime, something connected to red lotuses (vaguely!)–Finnchuill’s review of Devotio Antinoo: The Doctor’s Notes, Volume One! Thanks very much for doing that, Finnchuill!
May Antinous be praised today; along with the Divine Hadrian, Herakles the Lion-Slayer, Sekhmet the Lion-Headed, Maahes the Lion-Headed, Nefertem the Lotus Child, and the flower-heroes Hyakinthos, Hylas, Narcissus, Krokus, Calamus, Ampelos, and Kyparissos, and the heroines Lotos and Daphne!

You are welcome
