I’m nearly finished with the book I’m writing, and it should be available this week sometime. So, with any luck…
But in the meantime, there is some proofreading that still needs doing, and some last-minute additions and things I forgot.
In case you wondered, the book in question is A Serpent Path Primer, and not only does it contain the first attempt at a systematic explanation of the Serpent Path and its two (currently known) glyphs, but it also has my expanded essay “Super-Syncretism: Creating Connection and Preserving Diversity” (which started out as a PantheaCon session last February, became one of my lengthiest blog posts, inspired an Academia Antinoi course, and is now in a revised, expanded, and much-more-fully-referenced form as what I suspect will be one of my most important theological explorations I’ll be likely to ever produce. There are various Appendices as well, including some poems on Glykon and Chnoubis, information on Lucius Marius Vitalis, some long excerpts from All-Soul, All-Body, All-Love, All-Power: A TransMythology, the Spell Against Homophobia, a few of the Triads of Antinous, and some other things, too!
The reason I’m getting this book done now is because I want it to be available, and to have copies on-hand, when I present at the Esoteric Book Conference 2012 in Seattle two weeks from now. And, it looks like that goal shall come to pass…Despite my various rituals and presentations at PantheaCon over the years, I’ve never had more than about 80-100 people at a single event, so the EBC will be the first time I’ll have had a “captive” audience of several hundred people to whom I can present on Antinous and the Ekklesía Antínoou. I think it will go well–or, I hope that it will go well, at very least!
So, I need to get back to those final edits and additions now. I hope to have the PDF file completed and uploaded by the end of today, and the cover finished soon after. With any luck, it may go live as early as on Monday! We shall see!
