Guess who’s back?

I just had the shortest, most unusual Foundation Day ritual yet for Antinous, due to the fact that in less than an hour, I have to leave for work, and will be working most of the night tonight. While I do like that I’m this adaptable in my practices, I also would rather have the pageantry of a huge ritual at night with lots of people–or, failing “lots,” at least one other. This is, if I remember right, the first time in modern Antinoan history that I’ve not been able to have at least one other person with me. I made it work, with the help of Nyx and Polydeukion, but nonetheless…O, for the old days of (temporary) temples and (provisional and small) throngs of devotees!
I’ll have to give further details at another time, and also the new “Frankensteinian” devotional text in Greek that I created for this purpose.
But, I hope that everyone reading this, and many more, have a very good Foundation Day indeed, and many more in the future!
Ave Ave Antinoe! Ave Ave Antinoe!
Haec est unde, Haec est unde, Haec est unde vita venit!
Many blessings to you on this Foundation Day! I will be doing ritual in observance of the day this evening!

I like that phrase! Perhaps for his re-birthday, he should get re-gifts? Probably not…
His actual birthday is exactly four weeks from Foundation Day, though (and then Dies Natalis Solis Invicti/Christmas is exactly four weeks after that).

Happy Foundation Day! I just got done with my own observance of the day, which were unusual for me since they were held in a hotel room while I am currently abroad for a library conference. It was good, just a felt a little incomplete since I forgot my copy of Devotio.
I hope your celebrations were good, no matter how small they might have been. We’re at a very different place than we were this time last year, aren’t we?

Yes, mine were very odd, too…I don’t think I’ve ever done them just at home before, so very weird…!
Indeed, last year was one to remember, for sure, for a variety of reasons.

Happy (belated) Foundation Day! I really enjoy the posts you made leading up to it – helped the rest of us follow along from home.

The “play at home” version of this particular game is just as good as the televised version, though, so…!
Glad you enjoyed them!

[...] Day I’ve celebrated, and in many respects the most unusual, because I was by myself. Here were the details. It was also the day I premiered my “Frankensteinian hymn” to Antinous in Greek (though [...]
